AWCD - PADI Platinum Course Director

Andy has achieved the great status of Platinum Course Director again for the year 2009, one of only 50 world wide for this year. 

Andy Wilkinson was until recently the owner and manager of Academy Divers, a well-established and successful PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Dive Centre in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Due to his success as a PADI Platinum Course Director, Andy decided to concentrate on offering professional, high quality Instructor Development Courses, not only within West Yorkshire but also at a number of other dive centres across the UK.

From initial PADI Instructor training through to advanced PADI Master Instructor courses, Andy’s PADI and IDC students learn at their own speed in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Whether at Andy’s diving centre or elsewhere, or even in open water, the relaxed and flexible pace of instruction ensures that each element of the lessons is thoroughly understood before moving on to the next.

Andy is a dedicated Platinum Course Director, one of only 50 worldwide, giving each student individual attention and personalised counselling. He doesn’t just teach someone to pass an exam, he’s also passionate that his candidates are confident, knowledgeable, and prepared enough to be effective PADI Scuba Instructors in the ever-changing world of the recreational diving industry.

Additional PADI Specialty Instructor Courses such as Underwater Photography, Diver Propulsion, and EFR Instructor provide Andy’s students with the skills needed to teach these special abilities. Through providing speciality instructor courses like these, Andy Wilkinson, the Platinum Course Director can ensure that each person he trains has the ability to become a successful and in-demand diving instructor themselves.
